The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has give my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.
Robert Frost
Below the snow photos are a few blooms. It's gardeners bloom day for January. I wasn't going to post because there isn't much right now, but after seeing the not much en everyone else's garden, I felt a little better. Spring is coming...
Visit Carol at May Dreams Gardens to see what others around the world have blooming now.
whoops...a little over exposed, but you see the snow. Front Yard |

The weight of the snow may be too much for this little guy. |
Is this blooming? |
Well, I think snow is "ucky" also. I enjoyed your pictures, and your bird pictures from yesterday, too. Happy GBBD from a gardener in upstate NY.
ReplyDeleteI would just as soon look at it from inside the cozy house. I'm glad you posted pics of your flowers peeking thru the snow--it reminds us that spring will come.
ReplyDeleteThe primroses lok great... they seem to be very available in your part of the country and not so much here. In fact, I spent much time today trying to locate sources for doubles of vulgaris... not much success. I love Robert Frost poems too! Larry
ReplyDeleteThe Primroses add a lovely splash of colour, and I feel for that poor little Pansy trying to hold its head up. Lucy and friend look all rugged up and snug inside the house. Understandable that outside is not quite so appealing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of the comments. primroses and robert frost and snow, what could be better? unless spring, but oh well. Lucy's friend is little sister helen. I should have put that in there, but I forget that you don't see them every day like I do.
